Women in Film and TV Ireland is delighted to welcome Diana Claudia Stoica as its new Events Assistant. Ms. Stoica is an arts worker and communications professional driven by a passion for storytelling. A Romanian currently based in Cork City, she has a first-class BA in Media and Communication, an MA in Creative Practices from University College Cork, and a background in theatre and creative writing, her practice converging at the intersection of the social, arts and communication sectors.
WFT Ireland Chair and WFT International President Dr. Susan Liddy shares: “I’m delighted to introduce our newest member of the WFT team, Diana Claudia Stoica . We are delighted to have Diana on board, as our community grows and develops we have plenty of work for her to do! Diana’s skills and enthusiasm will add great value to our team. As an Events Assistant, Ms. Stoica will catalyse Women in Film and Television Ireland’s mission to promote greater representation of women in the Irish screen industries. Her cross-disciplinary experience in film, TV, media production, and former roles in administration and events, including gallery assistant and arts workshop facilitator make her a valuable asset in ensuring and improving the quality of WFT’s projects.
Most importantly, Ms. Stoica’s interest in implementing creative tools for community engagement, addressing contemporary issues, and exploring the role of languages in shaping identities and fostering a sense of belonging allows WFT to expand its horizons in every project as we strive for inclusivity and equity in the screen industries.
