Science on Screen “Counter Attack” Launch Screening

Ardán & CÚRAM Research Ireland Centre for Medical Devices are delighted to host the launch screening of the latest Science on Screen documentary film, ‘Counter Attack’.

Directed by Tiernan Williams, produced by WFT member Maria O’Neill of Bon Films, with cinematography by WFT board member Jaro Waldeck ACK, the film looks at cardiovascular disease, the high stakes involved with this condition and those working to change the narrative for those with the condition. We get an insight into the work of Dr Niamh Hynes and the team at CÚRAM, as well as paramedic Pat McCarthy. It also showcases the resilience of musician Frankie Lane and partner Anita Lane.

The film will be introduced by Tiernan Williams and Maria O’Neill.

5:30pm – Reception outside Screen 3

6:30pm – Film screening in Screen 3, introduced by the film Director and Producer. (film length 25 mins)

7:10pm – A Q&A panel discussion chaired by journalist Claire O’ Connell involving participants from the film will take place after the film.
