This study (released January 2018) examines key elements of the European policy agenda pertaining to gender equality in the media sector.
It also reviews existing research on women’s representation within media content and the media workforce. The study provides analysis of actions to promote gender equality in the media sector at both the EU and Member State levels. Finally, it presents case studies of gender equality in the media in four Member States: Austria, Malta, Sweden, and the UK.
