Women in Film and Television Ireland (WFT) is proud to announce that we have been awarded funding from Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland’s 2025 Stakeholder Funding Scheme. This vital support will directly contribute to the delivery of the 2026 Women in Film and Television International (WIFTI) Summit, which takes place in Adare, County Limerick from 4–7 February 2026.
Co-hosted by WFT Ireland and WIFT International, the Summit will welcome representatives from over 60 international chapters for a landmark celebration of global collaboration, storytelling excellence, and gender equity in the screen industries.
WFT Ireland Chair and WIFTI President, Dr. Susan Liddy, welcomed the news:
“We are thrilled to receive this funding. The 2026 WIFTI Summit will be an extraordinary opportunity to bring the global WIFT community to Ireland, to celebrate our achievements, and to forge new collaborations for the future. Our sincere thanks to Screen Ireland for their continued partnership and support in making this possible.”
With this support, WFT Ireland is excited to deliver an ambitious Summit programme that will spotlight inspiring stories, foster meaningful networking, and showcase Ireland’s vibrant cultural and creative landscape.
