In this very special WFT Ireland podcast, WFT Member and composer Emer Landers talks with fellow composer, the inspiring Eímear Noone, about her wonderful new documentary score for SO THIS IS CHRISTMAS.

Discussing everything music-related, from the taste to the technical, these two talented women reveal real insight into the art form.

About Emer Landers

Emer Landers is an Irish composer for film, television, musical theatre and video games. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin and the Royal College of Music, her career to date includes working in-house for video game company Bigpoint Inc. San Francisco, having her work performed in the National Portrait Gallery in London, and winning 3rd prize in the International Pannonia Film Music Competition 2020.

She is passionate about composing unique orchestral and electronic scores for a wide variety of media. Recent releases include the score for short film “Bach Is Blue” which premiered at Latitude Festival in 2021. Her first album of production music entitled “Splendour” was released by JW Media Music, and she has contributed to three orchestral albums by Little Wren Music as well as two albums by West One Music Group. Emer is currently developing her own original album and original musical theatre project- both of which recently received funding from the Arts Council of Ireland. She aims to continue to expand on her professional career internationally and is passionate about collaborating on high quality projects across all genres.

About Eímear Noone

Born in Kilconnell, County Galway, Eímear Noone is a conductor and composer, best known for her award-winning work on video game music. She has conducted the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic, Orchestre National de Bretagne, the Sydney Symphony, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, and several other national orchestras. Noone was the first woman to conduct at the Oscars on 9 February 2020, leading the orchestra in excerpts from the five nominated film scores. Noone was also the first woman to conduct at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland. A documentary about the life of Eimear Noone is currently in production by Krenshaw Films.
